It's the Change

I fear the result. I fear what it is becoming. I feel that I am losing the struggle within. The Earth’s strength, it is fading. The fear of the new change may be growing inside us, we still shouldn’t give in. There’s no mistake, Earth’s fate is horror and doom, but we can restrain it still.

Don’t hold your head down, and don’t let it pass by.

We have to save.

Do you find the smell of smoke sweet? Do you find floods interesting to swim in? Do you find earthquakes wonderful to dance with? What else do you find wonderful on Earth’s time of need? Only some unaffected areas. The rainforests in the Amazon, the deserts in Africa, and other not-to-civilized places; they are left undisturbed. Compare these places to the urban, megalopolis areas in the most populated countries. The smoke emanating from the muffles of rusty vehicles, the noise coming out from the lips of beings, and the unexplainable occurrences of whatever. We are living in a complex world, ruled by undetermined consequences from our gob smacking acts.

Earth’s   fate would be doom if we continue to feed it with doom. We only care about ourselves, but we do this for survival, don’t we? Suppose we follow altruism and make ‘Save the Earth’ as a mutual goal – this way, we won’t only be living in a disturbed world. Talk about living in a rainforest, it must be better to lead an uncivilized life. Climate change has entered our realm, and there’s no escaping that. With this, the earth will experience something new, after millennia of constancy. Because of the advancement of technology, and the new inventions of man, the earth has changed. Or maybe it’s not the earth – perhaps it's just the chemicals or whatever that the inventions emit that gave birth to sudden changes to the earth.

Exuberant English

The English language seems set to dominate world communications for some time to come. Although dominance brings with it a degree of standardization, it is not the case that English is losing its variety, either within countries or across the globe. Current research suggests that, rather than dwindling, differences in vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation continue to allow people to express multiple identities. The fear of some linguists that mass communications would lead to the death of English dialects appears to be unfounded.

In our school, I've been so immersed in participating in the various competitions that I've been unaware of what's happening to me. I've become much more confident these days. These contests broadened my horizons, too. The sponsoring clubs, along with the Professors, have truly focused on raising the importance of the English language. And that's good, isn't it? I'll get used to it actually. After all, speaking English is a bliss.

The English language is not limited only to education. You can use the language anywhere or anytime you want! If it's the only language you can use to blurt your hearts out. It may only be the second language of my country, it's the English language that I use when I speak alone. It's the universal language, is it not? I continue to improve my skills by writing on a journal, reading contemporary novels, and yes, speaking, but not on public. I speak as if I'm in a theater and that only happens when I'm alone, but I'll get over that soon, perhaps. As for writing, I pour my feelings as words into the sleek sheets of paper, and I am impressed by the exuberant words the writers of books have to offer the readers.

Equality!

“In their quest for rights they have naturally placed emphasis on their wrongs, rather than their achievements and possessions…”
-          Mary Ritter Beard

Some individuals have no respect for their rights. It is impossible for an individual to succeed in exhibiting his opportunities if his rights are abused. If the people’s rights had been properly organized, then there would have been any social reforms, which would save a lot of trouble.

To understand the nature and sets of rights proper for man, it is necessary to attend to his character. So far it is from being true, as has been pretended, binding the society with proper rights gives the individuals free will, and being covered by the law of course, for anyone can commit a crime by simply using the rights.

“All men are created equal.”
-          Martin Luther King, Jr.
With equality, men and women should not constantly be harassing each other; be its race, religion, or position. This is not a note, nor is it a report. Even if it happens to turn into one of those, I will be happy. I hate to use such a platitudinous line, but I imagine that by the time anyone lays eyes on these words, I hope they realize that people should be given equal rights. I hardly need to remind the reader about the epic battle of the protesters and activists. Their instrument is their own words, their defense and offense to any critical question. Their own perspective;  pathetically mature way of thinking. Looking back, I can only surmise that the gods of victory always smile down on them. Perhaps they actually wanted a perfect world ruled by equality. Taking for instance, Martin Luther King, Jr. He led the Civil Rights Movement, and he has convinced the government with no violent resistance. His words freed the struggle of his race. Perhaps they will know that equal rights and opportunities can lead them to progress, as long as it isn't abused or whatever. Who knows? I, for one, have no intention of wasting any more time thinking about this most negative series of events. I believe in altruism, and one day, if God permits, we shall all be working together, not being too selfish, towards great progress.

Contemplation II

So now we've heard of web designs. We'll need a good familiarity with HTML and CSS.
The discussions we had in our second quarter offered us benefits. Soon we'll get to make our own web design!
That's good news, right? The topics we've learned will allow us to create a lean web design or web pages.

The tags. Yes, the tags!
Typing these doesn't make my life easier, but be convinced, this is simply an exciting introduction to making a good and responsive web design! For weeks, we have been discussed about Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), made experiment with tags, and of course, blog-writing. How about that?

Notepad. We've been using Notepad for the whole second quarter! I suppose it makes it easier for us to identify and to correct every line typed. Notepad looks so simple, I'm starting to use it often on my drafts at home. At first, tags were handwritten. I keep on saying "Damn these tags!" whenever I write them down, but it's a good experience.

I take pride and pleasure in my work, even though it looks bad. I am convinced with my mark. I think I deserve to have such a mark. I am not the type of person who gives up easily, so expect me to be as competitive as you are.

"The world should watch out for the new web developer with basic HTML tag knowledge."

This has been an awesome tagging-quarter in school, I won't ever get tired of it

Everyday Heroes

If someone asked me who the heroes I consider are, I definitely would not hesitate to include teachers, professors, and mentors.

Teachers lead busy lives. They have mountains of problems, but they appear to be relaxed. They don't just stand up, write on the board and discuss. They GUIDE. They feed and nurture us with topics along with their wily tactics. They guide the students sitting on the armchairs to the right path, to the path wherein they would also have to lead. Lead to success.

Why are teachers heroes? Not all heroes wear some certain superhero suit. I say, "Anyone can be a hero," and in my perspective, HEROES should be just and hard-working. Teachers have met this criterion. They work for hours in a day; I can call them martyrs in this case, but they are too dedicated to give up.

One thing's sure and nothing's surer:
Teachers are heroes.

This is not a note, nor is it a report. Even if it happens to turn into one of those, I will be happy. I hate to use such a platitudinous line, but I imagine that by the time anyone lays eyes on these words, I hope they realize that these people should be thanked. I hardly need to remind the reader about the epic battle of the minds. The instrument of teachers is their own mind. Their own perspective;  pathetically mature way of thinking. Looking back, I can only surmise that the gods of victory always smile down on professors. Perhaps they actually wanted a perfect world of tactics and wits. Perhaps they will know that teachers can be way superior than senators or presidents. Who knows? I, for one, have no intention of wasting any more time thinking about this most negative series of events.

Teachers. Their enthusiasm for education never fades and is so infectious. They are extremely encouraging and they make us realize how rewarding teaching is. Indeed they are inspiring. Their passion for teaching is shown every time they speak. To end this post, I'd like to thank them.
